Evaluation of Metaheuristic-Based Methods for Optimization of Truss Structures via Various Algorithms and Lèvy Flight Modification

Truss structures are one of the major civil engineering members studied in optimization research area. In this area, various applications such as topology, size, cost, weight, material usage, etc., can be conducted for different truss structure types. scope with present study, processes were carried out concerning two large-scale space trusses to minimize structural weight. According state, three models provided via structures, including 25 bar and 72 models, handled evaluation six metaheuristics together modification Lèvy flight algorithms using swarm intelligence by considering both constant variable populations, ranges iterations, too. Additionally, effects function whether it is successful or not terms target also investigated comparing some documented studies. regard, statistical calculations realized evaluate method performance detection optimum values any data stably successfully. results, Jaya algorithm handle process successfully, case, without grouping members. The positive effect on swarm-based seen especially gray wolf algorithm.
